It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout.
In order to meet the need of several customers who had not found an ETL tool suitable for their needs on the market, our team developed BIT (BI Tool). It is an ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tool designed to manage all the operations required to maintain a corporate Data Warehouse, but also an ELT tool to bring data into the Data Lake in the Cloud.
The tool was designed to be highly versatile and can be used on both Oracle and Microsoft SQLServer platforms, offering a unique solution for heterogeneous and complex environments, ensuring that all software uses only the procedural language and no other components outside the Database.
The main aim of the project was to automate and simplify, by means of parametric tables, the generation of the code and the entire ETL process, from the collection of data from various heterogeneous sources, to their transformation according to business rules, to their final loading into the DWH. Thanks to these parametric tables, it is always possible to monitor and reconstruct all the logic applied in the loading flows, and the system guarantees high performance, being written and managed in native language.
The system is modular and can be easily adapted to the company’s requirements, guaranteeing flexibility and scalability over time at reduced costs.
BIT simplifies and streamlines the entire ETL process, allowing all its steps to be managed in native SQL, while maintaining control and visibility over all data flows. It also provides detailed logging and the ability to schedule and monitor operations in real time.
These advanced features reduce the need for manual intervention and maintenance/updating typical of ETL software on the market and ensure reliability and accuracy in data update processes.
